UNIVERSITY OF FREE TIME
"One of the things which I like so much in this institution, in the "Fabryka Trzciny" and "University of Free Time" is the fact that they are a perfect example of how civil society should work. It is not a government, nor a state university. It is an institution created by the people who want to establish a new, free form of culture, art, entertainment, education. Ordinary people have developed this institution from scratch. "Fabryka" will become the cornerstone of a truly free society, in the way which is unreachable for any political parties. This is how civil society works, from the ground up. "

The idea of the University of Free Time rests on opposing the superficial and mass promoted, mindless ways of spending free time. It invites all those interested to share a common initiative and attempt to create a “fashion” and even a need to invest in oneself and participate in public life.
